London / West End – Soho
West End: Soho, Carnaby Street and China Town
The term London West End seems not to be used consistently. It sometimes encompasses only the area of a vast number of theatres found west of Charing Cross until approximately Piccadilly Circus. And sometimes it means a larger area. I have opted for a loose definition covering a larger area.
Soho is located in the West End, northeast of Piccadilly Circus, South of Oxford Street. It borders Chinatown, which is itself part of the West End. More on West End you find on the second page on West End, covering among others Covent Garden, Marylebone, Fitzrovia and Shepherd Market. |
Carnaby Street and the streets in the immediate vicinity are part of Soho, and one of my favourite locations in London's West End.
