London / Camden & Hampstead
Camden
Camden was one of the first neighbourhoods I got to know in London. For me, Camden has a lot of what makes London so interesting: it is colourful, alternative and modern; has street markets, pubs and jazz cafés; and a mere street away it is awfully conservative and conventional. Very rich and very poor door on door, or better put, door on street.
The large railway and tube stations King's Cross and St. Pancras are in the heart of Camden. |

Hampstead
London is a metropolis with a population of about ten million people. And yet, one of its most interesting characteristics is that London, until today, is made up of a number of villages, which can be quite different. Hampstead is just a few minutes away with the tube from King's Cross and yet it feels like jumping into an Agatha Christie book.
